I have found my voice sculpting wood.  I make vessels (some as large as a person), carved, painted panels to hang on the wall and sculptures.  They are turned and carved from a variety of local hardwoods. I have developed a vocabulary of different textured surfaces, some painted, some with natural wood grain.  I tend towards simple, organic shapes that evoke natural objects but seem to have a utilitarian soul.
