The pieces are all fabricated using a combination of processes including fusing, embossing with hand-etched plates, die forming, and granulation; put together with layers of sterling silver, 24k gold, 22k gold & occasionally gemstones. My approach to design relies on the interplay between the material and the process. As I texture, pattern, and fold metal to create surface interest I become aware of possibilities and shapes emerge, often contrasting sharply with the softer finishes. My artistic satisfaction lies in capturing these often-contradictory relationships.
