For over forty years, Cindy Spolek has designed and produced contemporary shearling coats, vests and hats in her studio at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Cindy selects the finest sheepskin available from around the world. Some styles feature special fur, printed suede trim, or hand woven fabrics, while others incorporate buttons of bone, resin, silver or pewter to accent the features of a coat or jacket.
Master goldsmith Aaron Macsai is known for the fluid movement of his intricately designed fine jewelry. Aaron alloys his own gold, manipulating this finest of metals into a variety of colors of 18K gold with touches of copper, silver and handmade beads. A stickler for technique, Aaron often collaborates with another fine ACE jeweler, his wife Frances Kite (recently named “Best in Show” for Jewelry at Chicago’s Old Town Art Fair). Frances’ expertise in metalworking and cloisonné enamels has made this “marriage of metals” a partnership that is truly solid gold!
Riley’s training is in textile and apparel design, illustration, and the history of costumes. Her botanical and insect-inspired clothing collection is linoleum block printed. Riley carves her illustration into linoleum blocks, then hand prints the fabric and constructs the garment. The end results are uniquely elegant. Translated shapes and details are inspired from the past, with a contemporary twist.
